We the educators of Hand in Hand Child Development Denter, LLC enthusiastically encourage in respectful and supportive ways a community of creative life long learners using emergent curriculum that is relevant to children's innate desire to learn. We recognie every child's uniqueness and we are committed to children and childhood. We are dedicated to fostering creativity, education, and joy.
The educators of Hand in Hand Child Development Center, LLC:
1.We believe that children learn best in a warm, inviting environment where joy is present.
2. We believe in being playful and encourage spontaniety, and new ideas (especially from the children!)
3. We believe that learning is active, and is often hands on and involves enthusiastic interruptions.
4. Hand in Hand does not discipline children, but we do offer age apprpriate guidance techniques. We see challenging behavior from children as opportunities to guid children towards peaceful, caring behavior, and social emotional growth.
5. We support the whole child and the whole child's family. We believe parents to be the child's first and most important teacher.
6. We believe in emergent curriculum. We often follow the lead of the children's interests, and use these interests as a framework when developing curriculum.

We follow the research and ideas of Erickson, Reggio Emilia, Paiget, Dewey, Vgotsky, and Gardner, and will continue to be life long learners ourselves so that the children enrolled at Hand in Hand have capable, confident, and careful educators.
